Line in the Sand
The enemy is alive and well and wants to make our lives miserable.
I had every intention for my first entry into my Weblog to be something fun and interesting. This may be of interest to you, and most particularly if you are Christian, but then again there is an ancient Chinese curse: “May you live in interesting times”. I would say these are pretty interesting times.
To truly understand why I am so troubled, you have to understand a few things, so bear with me as I take you back to a year ago.
After several personal problems, the icing on the cake was a motorscooter accident which left me in pretty bad shape, and I was looking at a recovery period of several months. The irony is that I had just recovered from another accident not too long before, a very serious accident wherein I was thrown from the car when the door popped open, and I was run over by an oncoming vehicle. That recovery period was rather lengthy, and left me permanently disabled. At any rate, having another accident was a bit much. However, being a Christian, I figured that I was very blessed to be alive and still walking in view of the severity of the injuries I had sustained.
As I sat at home day after day, I began to watch videos at Youtube, reliving a happier time full of parties and nightclubs and, unfortunately, sin. I felt a bit guilty watching videos, but for some reason I felt there was a reason for me to be on Youtube. I soon found my answer when it came to my attention that there is a huge all-out war raging there between those who believe in God and more specifically, Christians, and atheists and satanists and pagans of every stripe. The first thing that amazed me was the language used against the Christians, words like “fucktard” and the like. I mean, every comment was pretty much like the one that preceded it: “you are a moron for believing in fairy tales”, and “how can you claim to love God when he doesn’t exist”. The thing that struck me was that these people did not merely just “not believe” like they claimed to. Oh they beleived all right, they just hated us and despised us and loathed us for loving Christ. Sure, sure, they denied it: “how can I hate something I know doesn’t exist. Fucktard”. For people who claimed not to believe, they sure were hostile towards us, and when I say hostile it is a huge understatement.
For months I have been a part of the Christian community at Youtube, trying to share the gospel and being met with hatred and hostility wherever I go. I had some atheist friends who didn’t understand my vehemence about the Lord, nor did they understand why I would put myself in a position to be laughed at or maligned in any way. Those of you who are reading this are, no doubt, Christian and so understand why.
Last night, something happened which went beyond the limit, and I decided this was it. I am drawing a line in the sand and saying “this far and no further”. You see, I was commenting at a video about scientists presenting proof that evolotion is not the truth. I really thought nothing of it and left a comment, which I do not remember exactly, but it was nothing out of the ordinary. Usually I comment about my faith in God and the fact that He is knowable for those who are genuinely seeking the truth. A man with the username “Surathan” told me to “stick my Bible up my ass, right next to my head”. Nice. I decided not to comment there anymore. I also noticed that he was attempting to post comments at my channel, which is closed to the public. A person can only comment there if they have approval, but my friend’s posts automatically go up. I have two channels at Youtube, so I was switching back and forth between the two. I noticed that this guy was being very persistent, no matter that I continued to delete his comments, he continued to make the attempt. I noticed that he had responded to a comment that I had made earlier, and so when I went to read it I was chilled to the bone. Here, as posted by the man with the username Surathan, is the comment he posted in its entirety:
“Simmalila
Remember “god” when I am raping you.
Remember “god” when I am killing you.
But most of all
Remember “god” as I peel you skin off you as you draw your last breath.
Remember.”
Now, at first I didn’t know what to think. I didn’t know if this man was just trying to be as shocking as possible, or if he was truly as sick as the comment made him appear. After spending hours discussing this matter with friends, I decided that this was it. Line in the sand. This far and no further and HE HAD CROSSED IT.
I called the police, and they referred me to the FBI Cybercrimes division. I had an appointment to speak with some agents the following day. Interestingly, the comment was no longer there as of sometime late last night. However, there are still other disturbing posts about me that he made there. If you visit my channel, I will refer you to the video in question.
Christians, I believe that we have turned the other cheek so much that our cheeks are more than sore: they are bloodied and bruised beyond recognition. However, a threat like this could and should be taken seriously because after all, we do not know who the person is who is making the threat. In the future, anyone who threatens me in this manner is in for a surprise. I was told by the FBI that these are criminal acts, make no mistake. Bad enough that they slander us and call us all kinds of offensive things, but threatening a person in this manner is CRIMINAL, and we, as good citizens, must report it if this happens.
I am not running away from Youtube. I have no intention of allowing this person to bother me anymore. However, I assure you that if he should ever again say anything remotely threatening in nature, I am calling the FBI stat. I think you all have the resposibility to do the same. Should this happen to you, do not hesitate to call the local police, and they will give you the phone number of the local branch of the FBI.
Report it.
Do not allow these aggresive and nasty people the upper hand. We are in a war, ladies and gentlemen, a war whose outcome we already know.
But that doesn’t mean that we should allow people to cross the line in the sand.

Thank you for the encouragement. Yours was the only comment fit to print. Just as my page at Youtube is only for my friends comments, so it shall be at my Weblog. Bad enough that I have to read them once, but I will not be subjected to seeing them everytime I come here.
What is it with these people? They all agreed that I should have been raped/tortured/murdered.
For loving Christ?
These are some pretty twisted souls. They make it awfully hard to pray for them. At this point, no doubt they are hardened, however.

Idoits like this who threaten, abuse & bully people because of a difference of opinion or belief deserve to be shown up for the morons that they are. As an agnostic I too see this type of behavior on Youtube from both sides in the debate, but there does seem to a hardcore of atheists who go well over the line when responding to any religious comments. If they go as far as this they need reporting too any authorities too.
I have religious friends and non religious friends, but even though I don’t share some same of the same views or beliefs as they do is no excuse for any oter treatment except to treat them all as human beings & respect their beliefs even if ones own view might not correspond with their view.

God bless you Knighty, I do so appreciate your support in this matter. You would not believe just how many comments I received which said pretty much what Surathan said to me.
I’m telling you, as God is my witness I shall never allow anyone to threaten me is this manner without the full weight of the law coming to bear on them. This is a felony and a federal crime, and those who think they can speak to me with impugnity are in for a big surprise!

I did see those comments and was appalled. You didn’t say one thing to deserve what he said to you! Atheists believe in evolution. Even though they did not evolve from an animal they sure act worse than animals! Well, some of them do. I know there are some atheists who would NEVER behave this way and some of them have even been very kind to me. Just a couple, mind you, but I don’t want to paint them in the same light as this creepo! I also commented to this guy several times. I didn’t know he’d gone to your blogs or your channel to keep on persecuting you. That is what it is, dear sister, persecution. I’ve been subjected to it many times but NEVER with this much intensity and hatred! He is one sick guy! I do the same on my channel…approve comments on it and only allow friends to post without approval. On some of my videos I’ve had to do the same. They do believe in God. I don’t know if I’ve told you this, but years ago I read a book by William Murray. He is the son of the famous atheist, Madelaine Murray O’Hara (sp?). He is the child she used to get prayer taken out of school. Many years later, after having a miserable life because of his mother, he got saved. His book tells the story of what it was like having her for a mother. How he remained sane is only by the grace of God! He said she denied there is a God and yet, some days she’d go outside, hold her fist up to the sky and curse God! He said she believed, she just would never admit it. She hated God. Look where that got her….her atheist friends killed her and her other son and William Murray’s daughter over money from her atheist foundation. So you are right, they believe, they just hate God and His people and Satan has them in his clutches and it’s his words spewing out of their mouths! I’m here for you, sis. And you are in my prayers! The support that I have gotten from you and all of the brothers and sisters who have posted here means more to me than I can ever explain. How a person could say anything so vile is just unimaginable – unless, of course, they are possessed…and that certainly must be the case here. The thing that REALLY freaks me out is the fact that there were so many responses from atheists who said things either every bit as bad or worse! How can they justify in their own minds saying these things? They don’t know who I am, nor do they realise that I am praying for their souls.
That said, there are a lot of these people for whom my prayers are an insult: they say, in essense, that they would rather serve in hell than rule in heaven. They don’t realise that it just doesn’t work that way. It isn’t going to be one big nighclub party in hell while we are strumming our harps in heaven. We will actually live right here on the earth, until our Lord destroys it and creates a new one for us. They, on the other hand, will be cut off from God and everyone else and will be alone with their thoughts and their accusing consciences forever. (Shudder) I praise God for saving me, and I love all of you…and we will reign with Christ forever!

I have friends who are atheists, and we simply ‘agree to disagree’, and I am always praying that they will come to faith.
The atheists who leave those hatelful comments surely do believe in God: in fact they hate him. You would not believe the number of comments I have received from atheists at this blog who all pretty much said the same thing: that they would be more than happy to help Surathan in his desire to rape/torture/murder me. They then have the gall to say that we are evil!
That is just plain laughable.
If you are one of those who would like to kill me because I love the Lord, don’t waste your time posting here. Your posts will never see the light of day. I assure you. Bad enough that I have to see them in the formums at Youtube, but I will never look at them in my blog or at my channels at Youtube. It would be like inviting you into my living room: and there is just no way that would ever happen.

Just a further thought on this sicko that left these comments on your pages Juliet: I wonder if this guy would have been quite as brutal and sick as he was if you had been male & not female here. I also see on YouTube quite often that women (whether religious or not) also come in for generally more harsher & more sexist remarks from males (and also other females too) who post & comment on their pages or videos. There are some channels that I have seen by women that every third or forth comment on their page is a crude remark.
These sick misogynists who can only be negative and respond with verbal abuse for whatever reason really need to see a good psychiatrist here.

Knighty, you are so right. Sexism is alive and well and thriving on Youtube. I have a friend who refuses to let it be known that she is female: she has changed her account and given herself a username that is sexually ambiguous. Maybe she is onto something there…
I can’t tell you how many times I have had truly mysoginistic comments made to me by atheists, who in the same breath claim that they are more moral than I. First of all, I have never claimed to be superior to anyone, I am just another sinner saved by grace. But take a close look: you will never see a Christian respond to an atheist in like manner. (Laughing) We may have to really bite our tongues sometimes, but we are gracious in the face of their rude hostility.
I know you are not a believer, Knighty, but that is not a prerequisite for being my friend. I only wish that all of those whose beliefs differ from mine could be half as polite and respectful to me as you are.

Hi Juliet,
You will receive justice for the horrible attack against you! I too have suffered similar attacks of blasphemous comments regarding burning of babies and such. I use the power of Jesus against them. I say a simple prayer binding the evil spirit and commanding it to go to the pit forever in Jesus’ name. This is spiritual warfare. Also, in the physical, I block and delete these comments. If it is not my video that they are coming against me on, then I privately email the video owner of the problem and ask them to delete the comments for me….as no one should read that trash. Children get onto YouTube too!
Now, for purposes of prosecution of these evil doers, you must bring it to the attention of the authorities before posting your intentions on this blog.
Do not delete the comments but copy their channel and their comments onto a separate file for the authorities to view…ask that the other video owner do the same for you if they are willing to do so.

I am going to privately message you regarding this. You said something that has given me an idea… Thanks! I sincerely thank you for taking the time to come and read my article and respond to it. Its very encouraging. The first 20 posts made were by atheists who said the most foul and depraved things to me. I was despairing and almost deleted my blog.
Thanks to you and all of the brothers and sisters who did respond here, I am not going to let those people get me down. And certainly I am not going to allow them to send me packing…

I am appalled. I regularly talk to people of all creeds and religions and this stinks to high heaven! I absolutely agree with you. This is where you bring in the law that your taxes have paid for. Terrorism, threats and stalking are illegal. These insecure, puerile and horrifying things that are said are vile!
It’s so easy to hide behind anonimity! I refuse to write anything I wouldn’t say under my real name. An athesit claims not to believe in God. That’s BS.
If nothing more, they have set up themselves as God. What a poor, useless god they are. These gods are gonna find out just how much power they don’t have once they get caught! Just remember , all you haters, every keystroke leaves a mark. Marks can be found. So can you. Just because I’m praying for you doesn’t mean you’ll escape justice. In fact, I’m praying you won’t need to. All that takes is being nice, Simple huh?

This blog is a great opportunity for you to be a witness for your Lord in so many ways. You are such a great writer and an inspiration to those who know and love you. I am also appalled at the intimidation tactics and threats made by the few people that can ruin the decent diolog for the rest of us. You are none of those things that was said about you. You belong to Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. If God be for us, who can be against us, he is our refuge and streangth. Athiests are threatend by that fact that they will stand before God some day and give an account for their rejecting Jesus Christ as Lord of all. You have tried to offer them Salvation in Jesus by showing love to them. They don’t want love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, meekness and kindness. They thrive on name calling and intimidation and threats. There are a few Athiest that are decent in their diolog, I have been talking to one and the conversation is good, we agree to dissagree and it is all good. Knighty, you sound like one of the good ones who enjoys good diolog. I commend you for that, thanks. Juliet, you keep writing, write for Jesus, write about the things that will last for all eternity. Thanks Dan, however, I do not think this is one of the better things I have written. That said, this is also subject matter which I find to be of great import, but repulsive nevertheless. I do thank you for your support. After having so many atheists who have written and said the most vile things, rivalling that which Surathan has written, it is a joy to hear the love of the brethren. As for Surathan, he is in for a big surprise, no matter that his comments have been deleted. I still have them in my account. At this point, even if he were to delete his account at Youtube he is going to be investigated and the full weight of the law brought to bear on him. Let this be al lesson to those of you who consider us ‘fair game’. We have drawn a line in the sand, and should you decide to cross it, the same fate awaits you as that which awaits Surathan.

I’m happy to see the warm words here from the yt community & from believer and non alike.
It’s already been said that these ‘people’ are not normal/immoral, a normal person can live with another’s belief, while these, ‘atheist’ mostly have had some personal or bad experience which they solely blame on god… the Irony of it!
Look to your inner strength and you will recognise it, as you have done once before and will again… That goes for all true Christians!… because according to scripture there will come a time where Surathans’ attitude, and actions, will not be the exception, but rather the rule.

…And how very true you last statement is. Even now, we see the world becoming ever darker and colder and we are becoming more and more hated. That said, we were promised that if we love and follow Christ that we would be hated by the world.
Frankly, I had no idea just how far some people would take this. Being threatened with rape and torture is just not something that ever crossed my mind. And for all we know, this man has done this very thing to some poor woman. (Shudder)
What really surprised me was that Youtube did nothing about it. I have seen people’s accounts closed for far lesser things before.

I have atated repeatedly that being Christian is not a prerequisite for being my friend, and you are a prime example of a person for whom I have great respect. If only there were more people like you. The sad truth is that most people cannot conduct themselves with the tiniest ammount of decorum…your words shine like a beacon into the hearts of those whose souls are black as coal.

Hello sweetheart, I am sorry sorry for all the grief you are going through with this phycho. I will be praying in the fullest for you safety, and for the peace of your mind. I too was harrassed to the point, that I had to close my account on youtube, and re-open another, and also had to get rid of unworthy friends(actually the magority of them), because they sided with this terrible person, and she managed to convince, and brainwash them against me. I have been through so much stress aboout the whole situation, that Iv’e been physically sick!………I always wish you well, and God bless, Mary

Just to say that the internet can certainly bring out the worst in people, and/or give bad guys a platform so that they think they are somebody at last. Maybe we should just try to keep ignoring them otherwise they will be getting exactly what they are searching for: much needed attention. I realise you have tried to do so and that he crossed a line, fair enough, but do try not to let persons like that get to you and just pity them, no more. The types are usually pretty devious so I doubt if the FBI or any other institution can track them down. They might only just get a fine (overhere, at least), and they will start again under another pseudonym. Just take care, you have enough to worry about without louts like that to fret about.

Sweetheart, I am so amazed at the love and compassion you show to others. These unlovable people who have threatened, cursed and spewed hatred at you have received nothing but reason and the offer of God’s love in return for their vileness. But you have reminded them that even the great apostle Paul mentioned that we are under civil law. For them to break it is to face judgement of a human sort. They say they don’t believe in hell, yet say they look forward to the partytime they expect there. For those of us who know the love of God, the worst hell there ever could be would to be denied any access to that Divine Love for all eternity. The very fate these atheists call upon themselves. Eternal darkness. Eternal separation. Eternal hell. It makes my skin crawl to think of it. It is indeed a cold, dark world out there. The light of Christ draws us likes moths to its flame. But unlike moths, the closer we get, the better off we are. Never be discouraged, my dearest sister! We cry and wail to God and he knows our fears and hurts. However, Surathan is still there, telling every Christian that speaks to him to “F off”.

Juliet. I completely agree with you that we are in a sort of “Moral” war against people like this, and you did the right thing phoning the police. Not many people would bother with that. This is kind of irrelevant, but I don’t see why people can meet in the middle about the theory of evolution. I myself belive Darwin’s theory, but I am open to the possibility that a God started it off. That’s what I mean by meeting in the middle. If Scientists don’t want to believe in God, that’s their right, but they can keep things open.
ANYWAY, I obviously don’t KNOW you, I know this seems offensive, but I only know you online, and you are a pretty decent sort of person and I don’t want to pry into your personal affairs etc, But I am sorry to hear about your accidents, and the permanent disability. BUT on the upside, you seem a very strong confident type of person, and I respect you for living your life and being grateful. I am grateful about life too, sometimes thinking “It’s good to be alive” and the like, but I haven’t had experiences such as yours to make me really thankful to be alive.
Rather sad really, but I’m happy not to have had a near death accident.

Well c’mon silly, who would WANT to have a near-death accident? I was pretty happy to be alive already. That was just what I took away from the whole thing since they said in both accidents that I should have died. When I found that out, all the plates and pins and scars lost all importance for me, I was only happy to be alive.
